About Dr. Murthy
Family medicine practitioner, Priya Murthy, MD, MPH, brings almost 15 years of experience in primary care and family medicine to AllCare Family Medicine and Urgent Care of Arlington, located in Arlington, Virginia.
Dr. Murthy has always loved science and human anatomy. This interest led her to begin her professional education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where she received her bachelor’s of science in biology. Dr. Murthy then went on to pursue her graduate studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she earned her master’s in public health.
Following her graduation from George Washington University, Dr. Murthy enrolled at the St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine, in Luton, England. There, she earned her doctor of medicine degree while participating in regular clinical rotations and contributing her expertise to medical research studies.
In 2012, Dr. Murthy returned to the United States to complete her medical residency training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Her responsibilities there included working with and attending to residents, teaching and training incoming students and interns, and providing optimal, coordinated care of patients.
Since joining the staff of AllCare Family Medicine and Urgent Care of Arlington, Dr. Murthy has continued to further her professional skills and knowledge. She’s a proud member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is qualified in USMLE steps 1-3, as well as ACLS and BLS.
When Dr. Murthy isn’t spending time with patients or attending professional conferences, you can find her volunteering with local community organizations or contributing to research projects. Dr. Murthy welcomes any family seeking high-quality medical care in the Arlington, Virginia area.
